According to last statistics of TSI (Turkish Statistical Institute), one fifth of marriage couples decides to divorce at the first year of their marriage. There is a rapid increase in divorce rates. Many kids who were left in the middle of nothing do not know to whom to shelter. Family institution is being ruined. Importance and sacred value that is given to family get affected because of all these negative effects.
Marriage is a long way road. Even while driving, you must have your license and not have physical and mental problems, moreover, you must pass through many numbers of tests. However, in our country, the only requirement for marriage is just few blood tests results and several medical tests.
Family, as the smallest and most important element of society is the most effective factor that keeps the society together. Building of a family starts with the marriage. During the marriage, because of the negative effects, our youth hesitate to marry. For instance, family number reduces. And to transform the family formed from the very beginning on the wrong soil to a happy paradise is even more difficult.
Guiding, protecting, strengthening, supporting and encouraging the marriage is the mission of all human serving institutions. Any investment for family is a sign for the future of our country.
Couples who meet with the idea of marriage, in order to know their prospective spouse candidates, their hidden areas of personality can be identified with psychotechnical interviews and evaluations. This service’s price is paid by government. If municipality offers this service for free, a lot of people can break down their prejudices about psychological services.
